Biographical Data:

My westward journey started in Pennsylvania, where I grew up. I earned my bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering at Rice University in Houston, Texas in May of 1998. I was first exposed to tissue engineering as an undergrad at Rice, where I took part in undergraduate research during my junior and senior years. I am now a second year graduate student here in sunny California in UCSD's Bioengineering Department. My research involves using photopolymerization of biodegradable polymers to develop 3-D architectures for hepatocyte-based constructs.
